Byrd Phones - BE THE BOSS OF YOUR CELL SERVICE!

SIMPLE MOBILE Internet and MMS support

FOR MOST NON ANDROID DEVICES:

Simple Mobile has a OTA configurator that has about every non android device Over The Air file out there. If calling Customer service doesnt help, then contact a local dealer, as they have access to their systems.

FOR ANDROID AND WINDOWS 6.5 PHONES

This is where it gets fun! For Android Phones, theres 2 sure fire ways to get MMS working. If you have an older Android phone that has one APN in the Access Point Name menu (i.e. G1, MyTouch 3G) you have to set up 2 APN'S. like this:

NAME: Simple Web

APN:  simple

Then hit menu and save. Now create a second APN by hitting menu, then Add new APN. Then enter:

  1. Name: Simple MMS
  2. APN: simple
  3. proxy: 216.155.165.50
  4. Port: 8080
  5. Username: [empty]
  6. Password: [empty]
  7. Server: [empty]
  8. MMSC: http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
  9. MMSProxy: 216.155.165.50
  10. MMS Port: 8080
  11. MCC: 310
  12. MNC: 260
  13. APN Type: [Not set]

For Newer devices that have ONE APN, use the following settings:

  1. Name: Simple WEB
  2. APN: simple
  3. proxy: 216.155.165.50
  4. Port: 8080
  5. Username: [empty]
  6. Password: [empty]
  7. Server: [empty]
  8. MMSC: http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
  9. MMSProxy: 216.155.165.50
  10. MMS Port: 8080
  11. MCC: 310
  12. MNC: 260
  13. APN Type: [Not set] FOR SAMSUNG DEVICES YOU MAY HAVE TO SET APN TYPE TO "internet + MMS"
FOR DEVICES THAT HAVE MULTIPLE APN'S, I.E. G2, MYTOUCH 4G, MYTOUCH SLIDE 3G:

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS IN THE APN settings, change the name to simple, and add "smpl" to the beginning of the mmsc string on each apn.
